Adekunle Kosoko popularly known as Adekunle Gold was born on 28th of January, 1987 into the Kosoko royal family of Lagos. He is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and graphic designer.
He became popular after his song released in 2015 titled Sade on 19th of December 2014, a cover of One Direction’s Story of my Life. The song was nominated for Best Alternative Song at the Headies 2015.
He graduated from Lagos State Polytechnic with Higher National Diploma in Arts and Design.
He got his motivation to be a singer through listening to King Sunny Ade and Ebenezer Obey when growing up. He became a member of his church’s junior choir during his teenage years and wrote his first song at the age of 15.
He became a pundit king of photoshop after posting an edited photoshop image of him hugging Tiwa Savage, a Nigerian music artiste who was recently signed under the Universal Music Group, on social media platform.
He released Orente through YBNL Nation after signing a music contract with the record label on March 5, 2015. He got married secretly to Simi, another Nigerian artiste in January, 2019.
